Bass Clef Patterns

   Some of my off the bench activities include my kitchen floor, not far from my studio. I have been using my black ropes again as I teach the bass clef notes to MFPA Book 2 students. They need to experience the staff in many ways to understand the concept of the staff and the clef signs.'Learning a concept must be reinforced bu using the concept in varied contexts." Sometimes figuring it out is exciting.
   October will bring group lessons back and I know the MFPA students will be having a Pumpkin Party where Tucker the Dog will want to hear every ones rendition of Tucker's Secret Life. This is such an engaging title and I have taken this about as far as I can go.Yeh Tucker!


His song is making my practice incentive art project into a real art display. We are adding sparkly paper shapes as we log into the 300-400 minutes of practice.
    It started out blank and then grew to this. Artistically this is pretty cool. My students are thinking about where to place their color and what shape they want to use. It should be very interesting to see it at the recital in November.

Typhoon Ramon - Arriving tomorrow


While Typhoon Quiel is dominating its force in Northern Luzon just after Typhoon Pedring passed, PAGASA warned the people that a new storm will enter our country this weekend.

Reported by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Usec. Graciano Yumul, it will be expected that new tropical depression Ramon will enter the Philippine area of responsibility this coming weekend.

He also said that the said tropical depression soon to be Typhoon Ramon will pursue what Typhoon Quiel is giving its force now.

According to Usec. Graciano Yumul in an interview, "Ang pasok niya Sabado na rin ng gabi, habang tumatama si Quiel sa Cagayan, papasok na si Ramon sa PAR (Philippine Area of Responsibility). Kapag susundan po natin, malamang Lunes po maramdaman na natin si Ramon."

Associated with the impact of Typhoon Quiel, officials warned that it will intensify the impact of Southwest monsoon which and that could bring rain in some part of Luzon like in Bulacan, Pangasinan and National Capital Region (NCR).

Toll Vat will be implemented on Saturday


Implementation of the 12 percent Value Added Tax (VAT) at tolls despite of the situation of our country because of calamities all around the regions of Luzon.

The implementation will be start on October 21, 2011 for all passers through toll gates going in and out of Metro Manila.However, it was defined by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Kim Henares that the fares should not increase and also the prices of food when the VAT is implemented on Saturday.

Base on their computation, each mile will only impact 1.6 cents and just .04 percent for the amount of food. Kim Henares also said that if their will be an increase in any, that will be fraud and exploitation of the public. The VAT should not affect anything and that is will harm nothing.

Officials also added that only a temporary restraining order (TRO) of the Supreme Court may suspend the collection and the critics was wrong that President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III can hinder the collection of taxes.

In the assessment of BIR, the Philippines will earn P2.3-P3 billion per year when the VAT on tolls will be implented.

Henares also belittled the warning of possible outbreak of the constitutional crisis ifMalacaƱang insist on VAT implementation toll. Henares also said that failure to the Supreme Court decision could create a crisis in the constitution.

Typhoon Quiel - Update


At 4:00 PM Today, Tropical Storm "Quiel" or Typhoon Quiel was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 1,040 KM East of Aparri, Cagayan (18.1°N, 132.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 110 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 140 KPH. It is forecast to move West at 13 KPH. 

Pedring victims funded P5-B


The Home Development Mutual Fund was said to allocate P5 Billion calamity loan fund for the victims if Typhoon Pedring.


Emma Linda Faria, PAG-IBIG deputy chief executive, announced that their offices are open for providing loan calamity funds to their members much harmed by the disaster made by the Typhoon Pedring.


Under the Calamity Loan Program of the Pag-IBIG, a member with a total of 24 monthlycontributions and live in areas where declared under the "state of calamity" will reportedlybenefit from the program.


According to Faria, an estimate fund of P10,000-P15,000 loan can be available per member.


It will be paid for 24 months with five months of grace period. The loan interest is at 10.75 percent per annum.


The official explained that they can still get the calamity loans supposedly the Pag-IBIG member who have pending Multi-Purpose loans, although they will deduct it to the new loan for this balance.


He also added that the department is also ready to deploy their personnel in calamity-stricken areas to receive loan applications.


Vice President Jejomar C. Binay first ordered to Pag-IBIG Fund to prioritized the processing in calamity loan applications to affected members living in different regions of Luzon.


“The Pag-IBIG once again opens its doors to its members affected by the devastation caused by typhoon Pedring through its Calamity Loan Program,” told Binay as he is also the chairman of Pag-IBIG in his capacity  as a chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).


Also, Atty. Darlene Marie B. Berberabe, Pag-IBIG Fund chief executive officer, advise to take advantage of the programs because it has only 90 days prescriptive period after the declaration of the state of calamity.


Berberabe also yield that Pag-IBIG members can also visit the nearest branch or can call their hotline Pag-IBIG.

Typhoon Quiel - Soon to arrive


According to PAGASA, the new typhoon named, "Quiel" will arrive soon after 24-48 hours.

It was been spotted 1,400 kilometers North-east of Luzon.

"Pagpasok niya mamayang hapon tatawagin na natin siyan Tropical Storm "Quiel"," said Department of Science and Technology Usec. Graciano Yumul Jr.

He said that it might arrive in the afternoon in the future Philippine time.

Officials warned that Typhoon Quiel will possibly more likely to be a "powerful cyclone" as it is still part of the ocean.

According to the initial track line, Typhoon Quiel will pursue Northern Luzon same as Typhoon Pedring is dominating now.

Usec. Yumul also added that Typhoon Quiel is still far from the land and he said that if there is any expectations from the typhoon, the effect will impacts on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Gov. Tet Garcia - Safe after an Accident


Provincial Governor Tet Garcia was accidentally toppled by a branch of tree while roaming in the some areas.

It was reported that he was now safe but his driver is in fatal condition who was the one who have toppled by the tree.

According to Gov. Tet Garcia, they were roaming in the areas that was knocked by Typhoon Pedring and then accidentally toppled by a tree.

Meanwhile, the clearing operation in some streets which are blocked by some woods will continue.

TV Patrol - Emmy Awards Nominee


TV Patrol soars again as it proved that they are one of the best and dedicated news media.


TV Patrol has been nominated in the 2011 International Emmy Awards for its comprehensive coverage of the Manila Hostage last year, 2011.


Regina Reyes, ABS-CBN Senior Vice President for News and Current Affairs, accepted the medal and certification of of nomination during the ceremony held at Harry Cipriani in Manhattan.


"We are very glad that our efforts were recognized by the academy. Nagpapasalamat po kami sa lahat ng mga hurado na nakapili sa ‘TV Patrol’ bilang finalist at ito ay dahil sa kagalingan, kasipagan at dedikasyon ng mga nagtatrabaho sa likod ng ‘TV Patrol," said Regina Reyes.


"Karangalan natin na makasabay, makasama ang iba't ibang news organization mula sa iba't-ibang bahagi ng mundo at maging ang mga pangunahing news organization at networks dito sa America tulad ng CNN, NBC, CBS at ABC News," she added as she honors not just the ABS-CBN News but the whole country.


This was the second nomination of ABS-CBN News' in the International Emmy Awards.


Way back in the year 2007, Bandila, one of ABS-CBN News program, was nominated for its coverage of Subic Rape Case Trial.

Typhoon Pedring - September 28, 2011


Typhoon Pedring as it dominates Luzon for its enormous force that caused heavy rains and flash floods in different areas in Luzon has now 18 people killed.

This was according to the news and reports from government agencies and some fields.

Three of out of this 18 people came from Valenzuela including three children and a 63-year old woman.

In Bulacan, three children also died during the height of the Typhoon Pedring.

Another from San Mateo, Rizal was also killed and his company luckily survive but fatally injured.

Three other people died from Central Luzon according to reports.

Typhoon Pedring causes a lot of damage in Luzon area leaving 64,000 people in agony.

Some of these people suffers from being homeless due to the powerful wind that caused their houses crashed.

Typhoon Pedring vastly affected some power connections through out Luzon, leaving a lot of areas to be brown-out.

Some flights are also delayed because of the wind and heavy rain.

Until now, classes are suspended in some areas in Metro Manila and in Central Luzon.

Orlando Claude Brown - Dies at 40


Orlando Claude Brown is an American football player under the university of South Carolina State University playing offensive tackle in his strategies in NFL.

He was found dead at his condominium in his Baltimore area last Friday.

He dies at the age of 40 with not yet confirmed cause of death.

His coach, John Harbaugh sends his condolence to the families of one of his great player.

"We send our condolences to the family of Orlando Brown. Everybody knew what he meant to this organization. We're forever grateful for what he did for the present team. We can't express enough sorrow for his loss," said John Harbaugh to Carroll Country Times.

He obtained the nickname "Zeus" because of his astonishing energetic games during his early years. But he was became infamous after he had an eye accident during their fight with the Jacksonville Jaguars around 1999.

Referee Jeff Triplette hit Brown's eye by a penalty marker weighted with ball bearings.

The most recent update from the number one social networking site, Facebook, was apparently moving like a wave that was rated and judged from its users.

It seems that it wouldn't attract some users but these changes may benefit all users of Facebook.

The Top News covers the latest updates that tops the trend in a user's account. You can still scroll down the page for more trending news until you reached the desired topic.

It also shows the latest status updates from user's friend. Judging from the Most Recent and Top News, you have the option to choose post depending on the timeline for the Top News.

They also changed the format on the Facebook Blog but the feedback are mostly negative, though the expectation in the next days will be changed.

The layout also compresses some details from invites and events from pages and users. You can also search for more details that gives you some notifications and details about birthdays, events, etc.

The News Feed is also one of the new features to make some subscription to such details and topics.

Dolores Hope dies at 102




After years of service for the people, Dolores Hope died yesterday September 19, 2011 at her home in Toluca Lake, California. For her years of living, she really had a lot of service done for the people but unfortunately died 102 of her age leaving some sorrows and memories behind.

In October 21, 2008, Dolores Hope was rushed in St. Joseph's Hospital located at Burbank, California due to suffering for her suspected stroke. But then, after 3 more years, our beloved Dolores Hope past away with no cause of death meaning that she was died at natural cause.

Her husband, Bob Hope, died at 100 in his age eight years ago on July 27, 2003. Dolores was actually at his husband's side as they celebrated the 100th birthday of Bob Hope.

After a year, Dolores Hope lost her eldest son, Anthony hope, dies at 63.
At their 69 years of marriage, they played roles for charities and many more organizations giving the people their service and help.

Dolores was very active in stage during her early years receiving awards from different organizations. And as for her talent appearing on stage, she was introduced to Bob Hope. They were married on February 19, 1934 at Erie, Pennsylvania.
