Beckham, Donovan vs Philippine Azkals


Big names in football will be visiting the Philippines, as by David Beckham and Landon Donovan.
LA Galaxy's business operations Thomas Payne announced that they will come to the country in December in full line-up to fight the Philippine Azkals football team in an international friendly match at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Aside from Beckham and Donovan, the team also includes the Irish striker Robbie Keane.
"It comes in a really good time for us. Barring any kind of injury, the whole team is here. They know when they signed on, but they're going to go on a post season tour, "said Payne.
On the side of national team manager Dan Palami, he made sure that the Philippine Azkals will not lose this fight in front of Filipino fans.
"The Azkals will play as if we have to win the game," specificity of Palami.
Palami also started to invite other Filipino players outside the country to help the national team.
Among those who responded to the call were Filipino-Icelandic Ray Jonsson, Fil-British goal keeper Neil Etheridge and Fil-Dutch Dennis Cagara and Filipino-Danish Jerry Lucena.

"Some of the players we have in Europe have played against high profile players, so they're used to this," said Palami.
Meanwhile, Payne also expressed an admiration to the Filipino on display to love sports game.

"We've been playing all around the world, in front of 80-90 thousand people. But we're looking forward to a small venue, a crowd that's really gonna be close to the action. "
If you remember, Beckham is considered one of the world's highest-paid footballers, who has assisted Manchester United to win six times in the Premier League title, twice in the Football Association Cup and also in the UEFA Champions League in 1999.
Beckam was also played, were his wife was the ex-Spice Girl Victoria, at Preston North End, Real Madrid and AC Milan before signing with the LA Galaxy in 2007.
